Microcement for floors
and walls
If you have not heard of microcement before – also known as high-strength concrete – it is a thin layer of cement applied in several coats.
Microcement itself is a mixture of a cement-based filler, water, and pigment, and it can be used in bathrooms, on kitchen surfaces, and in basement rooms.
There are many advantages choosing microcement
- When renovating a bathroom or kitchen, you do not have to remove old tiles first.
- The material has a surface that lasts for many years and is easy to clean.
- Microcement is a cheaper solution than, for example, replacing old tiles in the bathroom.
We’ve used Bastian before, and when we needed to renovate our bathroom, there was no doubt that Bastian should do it. Instead of tearing down the tiles in the shower cabin and on the countertop, we had them covered with microcement in the most beautiful golden color.
It’s a fantastic material – the surface is very durable, silky smooth to the touch, and super easy to maintain. And it’s a much cheaper solution than installing new tiles. Bastian is always trustworthy, pleasant to have in your home, and cleans up nicely after himself. Our warmest recommendations.
